To live, not merely to pass through time.
Adventure is not escape, nor spectacle.
It is a daily choice, often quiet, about how one looks at the world and decides to move through it.
It may begin far away, but it almost always starts close by. Sometimes, within.

Without adventure, one does not truly live.
Falling asleep in a makeshift bivouac, contemplating a sky dense with stars, letting oneself be touched by the breeze of dawn or by the discreet scent of woodland flowers.
Adventure is an encounter with nature, often just a step away.
It does not require great departures, but attention, openness, time.
And it is a pity to miss it,
when it is so close.
The value of courage.
Adventure cannot exist without courage.
Not only the courage required to face difficulty and risk, but above all the courage to put oneself on the line.
The courage to experiment, to change perspective, to seek new solutions to new problems.
To step, even slightly, outside the path already drawn.
Adventure is not for the timid. Not for the idle. It belongs to those who live
at the forefront of ideas and action

Adventure is a state of mind.
(from my book: “Equipaggio 150”)
“… To live adventurously, to carve out a space beyond the ordinary,
there is no need for expensive travel packages on the other side of the planet.
Sometimes it is enough to take a secondary road instead of the usual highway, to choose a campsite over a familiar seaside hotel.
And at times, even less is required: simply entering a bar or an office with a different smile.
Because adventure is not an emotion for sale.
It is a state of mind.”.
